What you get

Everything an institution runs on

Six capabilities that cover the working week, not a feature list assembled to look long.

Faculties, departments, programmes

The academic structure an institution actually has — faculty, department, programme, year of study — with course lists and credit loads attached where they belong.

Course registration with real rules

Credit-load limits, prerequisites, resits and year-of-study requirements are enforced at registration, not discovered at the end of the semester.

Grades and classification

Grades compute per semester and cumulatively, with degree classification against your institution's own grading scheme rather than a hardcoded one.

Transcripts that reconcile

An official transcript is generated from the same records the results came from, so it always reconciles with what the department entered.

Hostel, library and fees

Bed allocation by hall and academic year, library circulation with fines, and semester fee schedules with part payment — from one student record.

One record, from admission to transcript

Admission, registration, results, fees, hostel and library all read and write the same student record, so nothing is reconciled between systems at the end of an academic year.

How it works

Three steps to running your institution

Model your institution

Faculties, departments, programmes, years of study and your grading scheme — including the parts that are specific to you.

Open registration

Students register courses against real prerequisite and credit-load rules, and pay their semester fees in the same academic year.

Publish results

Departments enter grades, results compute per semester and cumulatively, and transcripts generate from those same records.

Questions

Before you ask

Can we use our own grading scheme?

Yes. Grade boundaries, grade points and classification bands are configured per institution; nothing is hardcoded to one country's convention.

Does it handle resits?

Resits are tracked against the year they were failed at and are enforced at registration in later academic years.

Do you handle open and distance learning?

Not on this product. A distance arm has requirements a campus system quietly fails at — content released on a calendar, attendance that cannot be a roll-call, examinations allocated to a venue — so it is a separate product, NexusdemicsNexusdemics Tertiary Online, on its own database. Institutions running both operate them as two systems, which is how a distance centre is usually constituted anyway.

Who can generate a transcript?

Registry roles only. Transcript generation is permissioned separately from result entry and every generation is recorded.
